Eyre Peninsula trip

Last week we headed back to the Eyre Peninsula – our first trip for 2015.  After flying into Port Lincoln, we still managed to cover over 800 km in 4 days, visiting places like: Wharminda, Kielpa, Darke Peak, Kimba, Wudinna and Port Lincoln.

One of the highlights of the trip was a being taken for a 4WD tour by a client up Darke’s Peak, a small mountain range situated behind the town.  It was quite a slow and bumpy ride along the old fire track but the view from the top was quite spectacular.  You can see the sheer drop to the western side, which overlooks a nearby farm.  It was the only place with reliable phone reception too, which was convenient for Bob as he took the opportunity to do an interview with the Advertiser.  For interest sake, the newspaper article he featured in can be found here.

We expect to head back to the Eyre Peninsula in March.
